About Sarah

John, Ethan, Sarah, Madeleine, Judi and Scott: March 2019

Sarah is a mom of two beautiful kids, a daughter to two amazing parents and a total jerk to the tumor that tried to grow in her brain five years ago. It caused seizures and epilepsy, which Sarah has battled for 10 years, also fighting to spread awareness. Sarah is a former TV news anchor and reporter who types fast and likes to run – and talk – a lot.

She grew up in and is living back in the Chicago burbs, training for another Chicago Marathon where she runs with and for epilepsy, but not from it. Sarah is a very proud to be a University of Wisconsin, Madison grad, where she lived for almost 20 years.

  1. Are you okay? This blog has not been updated in a very long time.

My friend has recently been diagnosed with epilepsy, also late in life, and i think she would benefit greatly if you kept your blog active, even if the content isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. She has had her ups and downs as well. Mostly downs as of late.

I have been following your sorry for quite a while, and i think it is a huge boost for fellow epileptics. Especially when they see someone else struggling with the same discouraging obstacles they face.

    1. Hi Jon,
I am okay, but gave up on the blog for a while. I plan to write again this week/weekend. An update, for sure, with lots of rainbows and happy endings. My goal in life, however, is not to just brag about my progress…but help others. Other than being a daughter, mom and wife (and dog mom) I believe I was put here to help others. Thank you for your patience and your following.
